What we repair

Garden wall repairs we take on.

Damaged sections

Impact damage, frost damage and general wear leave sections of wall looking tired. We cut out and rebuild the damaged area, matched to the existing wall as closely as possible.

Broken wall ends

The end of a wall takes the most knocks and weather. We rebuild broken or crumbling wall ends so they're secure and tidy again.

Loose bricks

Loose or rocking bricks are lifted, the bed cleaned out, and each brick rebedded or replaced on fresh mortar.

Soldier course repairs

Damaged or missing bricks in the upright soldier course along the top of a wall are renewed — a common repair, and one shown in our project photos.

Crumbling mortar joints

Defective mortar is raked out and the joints repointed with a suitable mortar and finish to complement the existing wall.

Wall tops & copings

Loose, cracked or missing copings let water into the brickwork beneath. We rebed or replace coping stones and restore brick-on-edge wall tops.

Scope & limitations

What we take on — and don't.

  • Accessible, non-structural garden and boundary wall repairs are the focus.
  • Leaning or bulging walls, retaining walls and structural repairs need specialist assessment and are outside the initial service.
  • Most repairs we take on are completed in 1–2 days, subject to assessment of the individual job.
No surprises

What affects the cost.

Every repair is quoted individually in writing before work is booked. The things that most affect the price of a wall repair are:

  • The size of the damaged area
  • Access to the wall, including which side work is needed from
  • Matching bricks and mortar to the existing wall
  • Whether copings or wall tops also need attention
From enquiry to a clear plan

Getting started is simple.

1

Describe the repair

Share your postcode, what needs attention and a rough idea of the size. Photos help when we discuss the job.

2

Agree the details

We discuss suitability, access and materials. If a visit is needed, we agree a time and turn up. We also agree when you’ll receive your written quote.

3

Book the work

Once the scope and price are agreed, we arrange a suitable date and explain what to expect.

A few useful answers

Garden wall questions.

My garden wall is leaning — can you repair it?

A leaning or bulging wall suggests movement, which needs assessment before any repair is proposed. Structural repairs and retaining walls are outside the initial service; if that's what your wall needs, we'll explain rather than offer an unsuitable repair.

Can you repair just the damaged section?

Usually, yes. Localised repairs — a broken wall end, a damaged section, loose bricks or a worn top course — are exactly the small jobs this service is set up for. The repair is matched to the existing wall as closely as possible.

Will the repair match the rest of the wall?

We match bricks, mortar and joint finish as closely as possible and discuss the expected match beforehand. Weathering and material availability mean a perfect visual match cannot always be achieved.

How long does a garden wall repair take?

Most garden wall repairs we take on are completed in 1–2 days, subject to assessment of the individual job — the size of the damaged area, access and materials all affect the time needed.

Do you rebuild whole walls?

The focus is small to medium repairs rather than full rebuilds. Send photos and a description and we'll give you an honest answer on whether it's a job we can take on.
